The Handbook “Keep Moving!” provides tools for older drivers and their families to learn to be aware of changes that happen as drivers age, and to assess when it is time to look for alternatives.

In a sensitive and caring manner, the workbook asks questions, presents conversation starters, and encourages open discussion between everyone concerned. It looks into a driver’s emotions, dignity, lifestyle and abilities:

  • Vision

  • Hearing

  • Memory

  • Medication

  • Strength and flexibility

  • General health concerns

  • Overall driving performance

  • Reaction time

Older drivers can work through the manual on their own, with family members with friends. It’s a great resource to approach a delicate subject in a helpful way.

We would like to thank Keeping us Safe and their Beyond Driving with Dignity Handbook for inspiring us to create this handbook, as well as the United Way of the Lower Mainland for their support.

Safe driving everyone!
